Dmitry Peskov
Russia will not initiate a question about the weakening imposed on her American sanctions. This is the official representative of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, said in an interview with CNN, reports on Sunday, March 12, “Interfax”.
“Russia will never raise this issue. It is the prerogative of the United States,” he said.
As reported TASS, Peskov reminded that earlier relevant statements made by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. “We will not be the first,” — said the press Secretary of the head of state.
A Kremlin spokesman also said that Moscow has “not yet a proper understanding of the prospects of our bilateral relations,” RIA Novosti reported. “Of course, we hope that our contacts will be more frequent and deep,” said he, adding that “we need to talk to each other, in order to understand.”
A number of countries, including the USA and member States of the European Union has imposed restrictive measures against Russia in 2014 by associating them with the entry of the Crimea into the Russian Federation, and then the conflict in the South-East of Ukraine. In response, Moscow imposed a ban on food exports from most countries, which supported anti-Russian sanctions.
