Anastasia Stowarzyszenia: Dading released from the police station
The wife of activist Ildar Dading Anastasia Zotova in an interview with National news service (NSN) said the reason why her husband was arrested on the morning of March 10, during a single picket in Central Moscow.
“He went to the rally without a passport, because I forgot it at home. He arrived at 10.00 am along with human rights activist Lev Ponomarev, explained Zotova, — At some point, the government approached the police and asked for the passport. He quite honestly said he forgot it at home. They took him away. I come, walk in Yakimanka, will give Ildar passport”.
As reported TASS a source in law enforcement bodies, the activist will be released upon presentation of a passport. “Formally no complaints to him. Check his documents, to establish the identity and it will be released,” — said the Agency interlocutor.
Dading was arrested on the morning of Friday, March 10, near the building of the Federal service of execution of punishments (FSIN). One after another with the opposition leader Lev Ponomarev, they demanded to dismiss the head of the UFSIN for the Republic of Karelia Alexander Terekhov and the chief of IK-7 Sergey Cassava.
Dading, serving a sentence for multiple violations at rallies, was released on February 26. The conviction was overturned by the Supreme court, the decision was revised on the orders of the constitutional court.
In December 2015, the activist was sentenced to three years in a penal colony on charges of participation in uncoordinated protests in Moscow. In March 2016 the term of imprisonment was reduced by six months. In November 2016 Dading complained about the beatings in the IR-7, but the check conducted by the regional Investigation Committee of the violations of the rights of opposition was revealed.
