Opened in Sokolniki Park in Moscow the exhibition “the First engines of Russia” will show favorite car of the Russian Emperor Nicholas II, French Delaunay-Belleville, and 27 cars of His Imperial Majesty’s own garage. This writes TASS.
The Emperor’s garage was established in 1907 “by personal decree of Nicholas II” and for ten years has turned into a “best in vehicle transport company of the Russian Empire”, wrote in the Preface to the book about the history of the FSO Director Dmitry Kochnev.
As noted by the Deputy Director of the Federal security service Nikolai Kondratyuk, “Russian Tsar possessed the most numerous and wealthy of Europe garage”.
According to the official representative of the FSO doctor of historical Sciences Sergei Devyatov, the exhibition for the first time collected such a collection of cars, which about a century. One of the most curious instances is the domestic “Russo-Balt type K12/20” 1911.
Exposure “engines of Russia” will be presented in the exhibition complex Sokolniki until March 12.
