Putin signed the law on postponement of punishment for pregnant women
MOSCOW, 7 Mar — RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law allowing to delay punishment to pregnant women and parents of children up to 14 years at the stage of sentencing.
The law “On introducing amendments to article 82 of the Criminal code and the Criminal procedure code of the Russian Federation in terms of improvement of the Institute of deferment of punishment” posted Tuesday on the official Internet portal of legal information.
Changes in the first part of article 82 of the criminal code give the court an opportunity to postpone the serving of punishment to pregnant women and parents to reach their children for 14 years, not only in the execution of the sentence, but at the stage of its adoption.
