Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed the hope that the authorities of the regions by next year, will perform its may, a decree on increase of salaries of doctors. The head of state said during the meeting with employees of the new perinatal center in Bryansk Wednesday, March 8, reports TASS.
“You know that by 2018, the wage level should be doctors 200 percent of the average for the region, and Junior staff — 100 percent. I assume that we will achieve these indicators”, — the Russian leader said, noting that the figure for doctors is 180 percent.
In early December last year, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets said that the salary of doctors should exceed twice the national average. “From January 1, 2018, doctors’ salaries in accordance with the may decrees of the President shall be 200 percent of the national average. It’s strict position, which nobody is able to review and which we will steadily follow it,” she said.
A few days before the information appeared that the Ministry of Finance has prepared amendments, according to which the growth rate of salaries of health workers in the regions should fall from 10.6 percent to 5.4 percent. They were allegedly approved by the relevant Committee of the state Duma. The Kremlin responded by saying that such decisions were not taken.
