Grandson of Elizabeth II was given the contract to conduct her birthday without a tender
Buckingham Palace forced to give explanations to the press after it emerged that the company, which is managed by the grandson of the British Queen Elizabeth II Peter Phillips, was paid 750 thousand pounds (more than 900 thousand dollars) for charity reception on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Queen in June 2016.

The reception, which was called Patron”s Lunch, was held under the open sky on Melle street in Central London, leading to Buckingham Palace. His guests were about 10 thousand people from more than 600 charities and organizations, whose patron is Queen Elizabeth II.

The idea of this lunch belonged to Peter Phillips son of Princess Anne, and the contract for it was not put out to tender.
Representatives of the Buckingham Palace has told bi-Bi-si, that after this event 290 charity organizations in Britain and the Commonwealth countries received 750 thousand pounds. This amount includes money collected through Patron”s Lunch, and other direct donations.
