Russia’s Olga Smirnova, who was arrested in Thailand for fish feeding, will be able to return home on March 9, it is reported TASS with reference to head of the consular Department of the Embassy of the Russian Federation Vladimir Sosnova.
“Because of the trial, the woman, of course, missed my Charter flight. But was able to negotiate with the airline: no of penalties and surcharges it will be able to fly 9 March,” said Sosnov.
She was threatened with the penalty of a fine of up to $3 thousand years of imprisonment. The meeting took place on March 6, the court was limited to the minimum punishment – the penalty of 1 thousand baht (about $28).
Recall, a 53-year-old Russian fed fish on the island of Racha Yai in the Andaman sea in the South Kingdom. On 19 February she was arrested for feeding the fish and marine animals in floodplains.
