In Brussels, signed the document on visa-free entry for citizens of Georgia

A document stipulating that citizens of Georgia visa-free regime of movement in the Schengen States, signed in Brussels President of the European Parliament Antonio Tajani and Chris Aguis, parliamentary Secretary of Malta — the country of the President of the Council of the European Union.

According to TASS, earlier on 27 February, the EU Council approved the introduction of a visa-free regime between European Union and Georgia.

After that the document will be tentatively published on 9 March in the EU Official journal and will enter into force after 20 days. Thus, since the end of March Georgian citizens will be able to visit visa-free for up to three months in the Schengen area during the period of 180 days.
