Moscow. 28 Feb. INTERFAX.RU — the Central election Commission of the Russian Federation is developing a system which will allow you to vote at the place of residence without absentee ballots, the Chairman of the CEC of Russia Ella Pamfilova.
“We are working on an appropriate procedure, which will allow the voter, for example, was in Moscow and living in the Belgorod region, to vote at the place of residence. Of course, this will work to increase turnout and may allow to abandon the use of absentee ballots,” — said Pamfilova, which quoted the press service of the CEC, at the meeting of the Council of chairmen of election commissions of subjects of the Russian Federation.
According to her, currently, we consider several solutions to the problem, including the simplification of procedures for inclusion in the voter lists.
“The CEC is ready to take responsibility for ensuring maximum awareness and maximum voter accessibility to polling stations”, — said the Chairman of the CEC of the Russian Federation.
