All exhibited works are not familiar to the public — they are rarely exhibited. The value of the exhibition also lies in the fact that until now the peasant theme was not the subject of special consideration.

The value of the exhibition is that still a peasant topic was not the subject of special consideration, although in the early XX century, Russia was an agrarian country.
The organizers have identified a number of thematic groups of the exposition. In some works, the peasants are portrayed native people’s wisdom, the guardians of the experience of previous generations. At the same time in some images read features of conservatism and Patriarchy.
In another layer included sculpture, portrait with character. They reflect the attitude of the Russian peasant (“Fedot Unkempt. A peasant from Yasnaya Polyana” Boris Korolev, “the old Man” Beatrix Belashova).
Another unit is devoted to this aspect of the work (“the Sower” by Ivan Shadr, “Kombinerki” Alexei Babichev).
The theme of the peasant relaxation, fun, and dance presented works which were in the post-war years (“Russian dance” Natalia Bazhenova, “Shura” Catherine Belashova, “Farm girl Dunyasha” Beatrice Sandomierz).
