Saakashvili has registered his party
The former Governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili announced that the Ministry of justice of Ukraine officially registered his party “movement new forces.”
On Tuesday, February 28, he announced on his page in Facebook.
“This seemingly little thing makes our movement one step closer to the formation of a fundamentally new political class of the country”, — Saakashvili wrote. According to him, in many cities of the country already has representation, the party he created, and every day the number of its members increases.
In early February, the former head of Odessa region declared that Ukraine is “doomed to be a superpower of Europe”, which in 5-15 years can become a leading player on the world political arena.
According to him, Kyiv political Beau Monde has been around for 25 years and during this time, Ukraine’s GDP per capita has become the poorest country in Europe. In the same month, the former Governor announced the beginning of fundraising for the development of the party “movement new forces.”
Saakashvili, who held the post of head of the Odessa region in may of 2015, announced his retirement in November 2016. His decision, he explained that it is difficult to correct the situation in one region, when in Ukraine continues to be dominated by corrupt officials. The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko not only confirmed the dismissal, but also released a policy from office of the adviser. Before Saakashvili from 2004 to 2013, he occupied the post of the President of Georgia.
