During the excavation, the builders discovered the remains of more than 50 people, including the skeleton of a Wehrmacht officer. “Some bones found fragments of shells, bullets and medical tourniquets. We can say that these people were killed during the storming of Koenigsberg (former name of Kaliningrad — approx. “Of the tape.ru”) in the spring of 1945,” Khisamov said.

All found the remains reburied in the municipal cemetery in accordance with local legislation, and the bones of the officer will be buried in the cemetery of the German military, said the representative of “Violas”. Construction will continue as usual.

In 2008, in North Ossetia during the work on the extension of the railway found a similar burial. It was mixed, so-called sanitary grave, there were remains of both German and Soviet soldiers.
