MOSCOW, April 29 — RIA Novosti. The Russian foreign Ministry criticized the newspaper The Sun that the newspaper published an article about the riots at the match between teams from Kyiv and Donetsk under the heading “Racist Russia”.
Comments the Ministry of foreign Affairs published on the Ministry website in the section that tracks false information about Russia in the media.
“Surprised by the incompetence of the popular British tabloid The Sun, published in the online section of “Football” video “Racism in Russia” about the atrocities of Ukrainian fans in Kiev”, — stated in the message Department.
The foreign Minister noted that after the reaction of users of social networks, The Sun has made changes to the article, however, questions about the causes of this “geographical errors” remain.
From the point of view of the Ministry, forecasts that the Western media tries to hurt Russia’s reputation on the eve of the confederations Cup this year and world Cup in the next pass.
British tabloid earlier published a similar fakie on a football theme. Thus, the newspaper The Mirror in March gave fist fights on Shrove Tuesday for preparing fans for the world Cup, which they allegedly promised to arrange a fight with fans from other countries.
