Found a way to get rid of the genetic predisposition to obesity
An international team of scientists came to the conclusion that regular physical activity can reduce the negative impact of the genetic determinants of the propensity of a person to obesity. A study published in the journal PLOS Genetics.
Experts have established that regular physical exercise reduces the activity of the gene FTO, which increases the likelihood of obesity, about thirty per cent.
To such conclusions scientists have come, having conducted a meta-analysis of data that combines information about more than 200 thousand people. Experts believe that exercise probably change the activity not only FTO, but the other 11 genes that were open during research and also associated with obesity.
Scientists say that physical activity remains a major factor in reducing the risk of a person has excess of body weight.
