Japan issued guidelines in case of missile attack of the DPRK

The government of Japan issued guidelines for citizens in case of a missile attack. About it reports TASS.

The rules were presented at a meeting in Tokyo meeting with the participation of senior officials of the government and representatives of all 47 prefectures of the country. At the meeting it was explained that the government will try very quickly to sound the alarm in areas struck.

Local authorities should receive information about the attack through a system of warnings about the disaster J-Alert, telecommunication, government e-mail. The population is expected to notify through speakers on the streets, with messages to mobile phones and emergency announcements on television and radio.

The population is given by the Council in urgent circumstances to hide in cellars or inside permanent structures. If the alarm finds a person on the street or in the car, it is recommended to immediately stop the car to hide behind natural cover.

At the meeting it was decided to hold regular exercises of civil defense, which will be funded from the budget.

On April 18 the newspaper “Yomiuri Shimbun” reported that Tokyo can expand the self-defense Forces in case of fall of the North Korean missiles in the territorial waters of Japan. In the current Japanese legislation contains a gradation of threats, which have different levels of deployment of the self defense Forces: an attack is possible, an attack is imminent, attack happened.
