The results of the VTSIOM opinion poll showed that almost a third of the population believes a possible war between Russia and the United States attest to the overabundance of negative information in the media. This view was expressed in an interview with “Tape.ru” the Chairman of state Duma Committee on information policy, information technologies and communications, Andrei Svintsov.
“We now live both on the front line, and nothing else on the air in major search engines misses. No positive — one negative agenda. The entire top of “Yandex” — fight, war, shooting, and everything else,” said the lead.
In his opinion, to appease the Russians, it is enough to make them understand that “the country has enough sensible and wise politicians who will never bring the matter before the conflict.”
Monday, April 17, the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion (VTSIOM) reported that 30 percent of Russians consider a possible US war with Russia. The majority of citizens, 63 percent still believe such a conflict is impossible or unlikely.
February 20 – “Levada-center” published a poll, according to which a considerable part of Russian citizens (58 percent) believe that other States pose to the country’s real military threat. The vast majority — 84 percent — said they are confident in the ability of the armed forces to repulse the enemy, and one in ten respondents reported that they did not trust the capacity of the Russian army.
