The President of Russia Vladimir Putin will traditionally participate in the festive Liturgy dedicated to Easter, one of the Orthodox churches of the country. This was reported by press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov. His words on Friday, April 14, the correspondent “Tapes.ru”.

Putin regularly visits temples during major religious holidays. Usually, at Easter, he remains in Moscow, and Christmas meets in churches outside the capital.
So, last year the President attended the night Easter service in the Christ the Savior Cathedral. Immediately after the service, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill presented the head of state of decorative Easter eggs made by the Church jeweller. Similar gift from the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church was given to the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and his wife Svetlana.
