Sociologists have found the attitude of Russians to abandon the broadcast of the Eurovision song contest
MOSCOW, April 15 — RIA Novosti. The survey “Levada-center” showed that 40% of Russians support the decision to withdraw this year from broadcasting in Russia musical competition “Eurovision-2017”, 41% opposed such a decision.
“Levada-center” clarifies that the survey was conducted before it became known that the Ukrainian side is not allowed to participate the representative of Russia Yulia Samoylova, Russia refused to broadcast the contest.
According to the survey, the refusal of the broadcast of Eurovision in Russia in the case of non-admission by the Ukrainian authorities Samoilova was supported by 40% of respondents, 41% were against this action, and the rest were undecided.
It is noted that almost 60% of Russians have a positive attitude to the fact that Russia at the Eurovision song contest must submit Julia Samoylova. Do not support this choice, 15% of respondents, almost as many admitted to sociologists that have not heard anything about it. Every tenth Respondent could not answer the question.
Eurovision-2017 in Kiev, Russia was supposed to represent the shooting with a song about love the Flame Is Burning, but the security Service of Ukraine has banned the actress entry into the country for three years because of her performances in the Crimea.
The European broadcasting Union offered Russia or to broadcast the contest through satellite, any change of the contestant. On the First channel called these options unacceptable and in this situation did not consider it possible to broadcast the contest.
