The investigative Committee has been asked to arrest the former head of Mari El Leonid Markelov
In Basmanny court received a petition of the investigating authorities of election of a measure of restraint in form of detention of the former Governor of the Mari El Republic Leonid Markelov accused of receiving a bribe. About it the head a press-services of court Juno Tsarev told RBC.
According to her, the accused and other participants of the process are already in the courthouse. In the near future will start consideration of the petition.
Lawyer Igor Trunov also said that Markelov delivered to Moscow. “Now we’re trying to find out when the investigator intends to leave in court with the petition for the measure,” he said.
