Tomsk scientists have developed a device that “sees” through walls
The radar is able to show not only the presence of the person in the room, but also its location with accuracy up to 10 cm.
TOMSK, April 13. /TASS/. A device that “sees” through walls and can detect and produce visualization of people over various obstacles, and to determine the trajectory of their movement has been developed by scientists of Tomsk state University. He currently is on trial in the “Resguardo”, TASS was told by the doctor of physico-mathematical Sciences, Professor, head of Department of Radiophysics Tomsk state University Vladimir Yakubov.
Radar “Radiodonor” is able to detect people behind a wall and map their movement. The system works on the basis of the analysis of the reflected radio waves.Vladimir Jakubovskaja of Radiophysics, Tomsk state University
According to him, “Radiodonor” can be used for operational purposes, security agencies in the fight against crime and terrorism (hostage rescue, search people) and to protect important sites. In the mouth this unique device can provide people search for obstacles and debris from building materials, snow and soil in the aftermath of emergencies.
In turn, one of the developers of the device, candidate of physico-mathematical Sciences Sergey Shipilov said that the Siberian development cheaper Israeli counterpart four times, and in comparison with the domestic models of more functional through the barrier device is able to show not only the presence of the person in the room, but also its location with accuracy up to 10 cm, and all this is possible in almost real time.
Currently “Radiodonor” be on the test “Regardie”, its already checked in various conditions and situations. Scientists have already received the first positive feedback and a request to make them for instance that it would be possible to adopt.
