Protests in Budapest resulted in clashes

In the Hungarian capital Budapest during a protest against the approval of the Parliament of the bill on institutions of higher education have been clashes of activists with the police.

Video from the scene publishes Ruptly.

No injuries were reported.

Last week approved a bill according to which higher institutions, in addition to branches in Hungary, must have a branch in your country.

According to the protesters, most of them students and University teachers, bill is an attempt to restrict the right of citizens to receive education. In particular, innovation may lead to the closure of the Central European University (CEU), founded in 1991 with the support of the American economist and philanthropist George Soros.

At CEU, there is separation only in Budapest. Prime Minister Viktor Orban has repeatedly criticized the higher education institution and its founder.
