Operational-tactical missile complexes “Iskander-M”

MOSCOW, April 11. /TASS/. An upgraded version of the operational-tactical missile complex “Iskander-M” will be presented after 2020. This was reported by General Director of state Corporation “rostec” Sergey Chemezov.
“Over the last few years at MSC ( JSC “Scientific production Corporation “engineering Design Bureau” – approx. TASS) was established more than twenty high-precision weapons systems and their modifications. In accordance with the adopted strategy of the cluster “Weapons” in the coming ten years we intend to improve the operational-tactical missile complexes. After 2020, will be presented the upgraded version of PTRC “Iskander-M”, – said Chemezov.
Earlier, General designer of KBM Valery Kashin in an interview with TASS said that the “Iskander-M” will be armed with another 25-30 years, and proposals for their modernization are currently under consideration in the RF Ministry of defense. According to him, the existing contract for the supply of troops in these PTRC will last until 2017.
On 11 April, marks 75 years of engineering Design Bureau is the only developer of domestic MANPADS “Strela”, “Igla”, “willow”, anti-tank systems “Chrysanthemum” and the PTRC “Iskander”.
