The accident occurred at about 23.30 Moscow time environment on the 215-kilometer Federal highway M-6 “Caspian” in the Mikhailovsky district. Faced truck MAN from Tambov region and a Setra bus, which was carrying passengers from Moscow to Elista. According to police, killed one of the drivers of the bus and the passenger sitting in the front seat. In St. Michael district hospital was delivered 31 people, including the truck driver. Passengers left the bus from Elista.

According to police, the collision of bus and truck occurred due to the fact that the driver went to overtake or fell asleep at the wheel. Weather conditions or the quality of the road cause of the accident could not, said the interior Ministry.
