RIO DE JANEIRO, April 6. /TASS/. Several Latin American countries have expressed interest in the purchase of Russian small arms, told reporters the Deputy Director of the Federal service for military-technical cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia Anatoly Punchy, who heads the Russian delegation at the LAAD exhibition in 2017 in Brazil.
“There is interest from a number of countries, and it is at a high level, but I would not want premature to talk about the projects which conducted the dialogue,” said Punchy.
Earlier it was reported that Venezuela is building a plant to manufacture Kalashnikov AK-103, and most of the equipment already prepared for installation.
“Meeting rooms Russian manufacturers are in a constantly loaded state practically turns there are because there is very good dialogue. And the dialogue is not only with representatives of the Latin American region, but also in Africa. This is a very good speaker, it is fundamentally different from the sentiments of the previous exhibition, which was two years ago,” said Punchy.
He noted that interest in Russian arms is great, but contracts at the exhibition are expected. “Hope for a promising arrangement that may become the basis for future contracts,” – said the Deputy head of the FSMTC of Russia.
