The actions of the servicemen of the Ukrainian army worsen the situation in the Donbass. This was stated press Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov, reports the correspondent of”.ru” on Wednesday, April 5.
“The situation unfortunately is aggravated by the provocative actions of the Ukrainian Armed forces on the contact line”, — said Peskov. Such a position Moscow will announce at the upcoming April 6 meeting of assistants of heads of state “Norman Quartet”, he added.
The official representative of the Kremlin noted that the tension in the South-East of Ukraine remains, including from heavy weapons, which stays on the boundary line. Peskov stressed that “crowns this list of a fiasco in terms of the implementation of the Minsk agreements the reluctance of Kiev to implement the political part of these agreements.”
At the meeting on the Ukrainian settlement, Russia will be represented by the assistant to the President Vladislav Surkov, said Peskov.
On 7 March the government of the breakaway Lugansk national Republic (LNR) has accused Kiev in the failure of the agreement on the withdrawal forces on the line of contact near the village of Lugansk.
The Minsk agreement was signed in February of 2015 as the leaders of “Norman Quartet” (Russia, France, Germany and Ukraine). In the document, in particular, spelled out the need for the introduction of the ceasefire, elections in the Donbass and the legislative recognition of the special status of the region.
