SK has denied reports about the return Vasilyeva property
MOSCOW, 1 Jul — RIA Novosti. Russia’s investigative Committee has denied media reports about removal of arrest from property of the former head of Department of property relations of the Ministry of defense Evgenia Vasilyeva.
Earlier, some media reported that Vasilyeva allegedly returned under arrest the property.
As said the official representative of SK of Russia Svetlana Petrenko, during the investigation of criminal case the consequence has arrested accounts, jewelry, real estate, and paintings Vasilyeva. After investigation, the arrest is only pictures, of no artistic value.
As for the rest of the property, then, according to Petrenko, the protection Vasilyeva asked to remove his arrest, but was refused.
A criminal case of “Oboronservis”, the key defendant was a former official of the defense Ministry, were initiated in 2012 after uncovering a massive scheme of theft of state property in the Ministry and was worth the post of its head Anatoly Serdyukov.
Vasiliev was sentenced to five years in a penal colony, but soon after her arrival in the colony was released on parole. The court credited her as a punishment, the time spent under house arrest in her apartment in the Dairy lane in Moscow.
