The number of murders in Russia in 2018 decreased by almost 13% compared to last year
Moscow. 25 Dec. INTERFAX.RU — the Number of homicides and attempted murders in Russia for 11 months of the year fell by almost 13%, the number of cases of deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm by 5%, said the Russian Prosecutor General’s office on Tuesday.
“Decreased by 12.6% (from 9 to 7 060 914), the number of murders, attempted murders, 5.4% (from 22 to 21 834 609) — facts of deliberate causing of heavy harm to health”, — is spoken in the message of supervising Department on the state of crime since the beginning of the year.
It is noted that the number of serious crimes decreased by 1.1%, especially heavy — 2.7%.
“In the whole Russia, the share of grave and especially grave crimes among all crimes reported amounts to 22.6% (415 347). For comparison, in the same period last year their number was 421 548, indicating a decrease of 1.5%,” — said the Prosecutor’s office.
