Scientists describe three periods in life when people are most alone
MOSCOW, Dec 22 — RIA Novosti. Scientists from the University of California San Diego have identified three span of human life, in which he most keenly feels his loneliness, according to WebMD.
Experts analyzed the psychological state of the participants aged from 27 to 101 years. For this purpose we used three kinds of questionnaires that helped to assess whether the person feels himself “abandoned”. While scientists emphasize that this self-perception may not depend on the actual circle.
It turned out that the feeling of loneliness was exacerbated participants aged 27-30, 55-60, and after 80 years.
The researchers note that in the first age group people tend to critically evaluate a chosen way of life, comparing themselves with their peers, and thus “cut off” from others. After 55 years people are faced with a serious deterioration in the health and feel isolated. After 80 years, the loneliness can be caused by the loss of many loved ones and friends.
