In the city of Borgloon, in the Belgian province of Limburg, is an unusual building called Reading between the lines (“Reading between the lines”).

During the download an error has occurred.

Its uniqueness lies in the fact that from one angle it looks like a normal Catholic Church with a pointed dome, and the other — dissolves in space and is virtually invisible. Hence its second name — the “Invisible Church”.

This effect was due to the unusual structure of the building, invented by Belgian architects Poteryannom of Gijs and Arnota van Vaerenbergh.

The unusual temple is 10 meters tall and consists of 2 million steel elements and 100 layers of steel plates. The total weight of the building is 30 tons.

The transparency of the structure give the cavity between the plates, through which visitors literally can see through walls.

Church services are not carried out, but the Church is very popular among many tourists. And this is not surprising.
