Putin has replaced the heads of several regions within an hour
New leaders appeared in the Astrakhan region, Kabardino-Balkar Republic and Primorye.

Russian President Vladimir Putin in one night has replaced the heads of three regions — the Astrakhan region, Kabardino-Balkar Republic and the Primorye territory.
The first was appointed Governor of the Astrakhan region. The head of the region became Sergey Morozov, Deputy head of the Federal customs service (FCS), who was assistant defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and members of the Federal guard service (FSO). He was replaced by Alexander Zhilkin, who led the region for 14 years. Putin in conversation with Morozov noted that Zhilkin asked for “a transfer to another job”.

Shades of the second round
Next Putin met with a group by Kokovin and told him about the decision to appoint him acting head of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic. The President noted that the family kokova connected with the Republic “closely closely”.
Kokov has previously held the positions of Deputy Minister, Deputy of the national Assembly of Kabardino-Balkaria, and then moved to the presidential administration. As wrote “Kommersant” in April 2013, the kochs became an adviser to one of the departments of the presidential administration on domestic policy. He is the son of Valery Kokov, who was President of the Kabardino-Balkar Republic from 1992 to 2005, and namesake of the former head of the Republic Yuri Kokov, who, according to Putin, was asked to translate it “for various reasons, including family matters”, work in Moscow.

After that, Putin met with Governor of the Sakhalin region Oleg Kozhemyako and invited him to become the head of Primorye, reports TASS. In conversation with him, the President noted his great and positive experience. Kozhemyako was previously head of the Amur oblast and the already existing region, the Koryak; and in 2015 he became the Governor of the Sakhalin region Alexander Khoroshavin instead, which was dismissed in connection with loss of trust because of corruption.
In Primorsky Krai this month passed two rounds of the gubernatorial election, which was contested by United Russia Andrey Tarasenko, the head at that time, the region, and Communist Andrey Ishchenko. Regional election Commission canceled the results of voting on the recommendation of CEC: the will of the citizens it was impossible to determine because of numerous violations of the candidates accused each other of copying ballots and voter bribery.
