Russian President Vladimir Putin came to say goodbye to film Director and politician Stanislav Govorukhin, who died on Thursday.
The President of the Transfiguration Church of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior laid wine-coloured roses to the grave of the deceased, and then went to the widow Govorukhin, to personally Express condolences.
On June 14 the head of state in connection with the death of the Director sent a telegram to the widow Galina govorukhina’s. In his address he noted that “in film and public engagement Stanislav worked with full dedication, firmly defended their creative and civic position, and therefore rightfully enjoyed unquestioned authority”.
Farewell ceremony began in the Church of the Transfiguration on June 16 at 9:00 GMT and will last until 13:00 GMT.
From morning to honor the memory of the Director came first Deputy head of presidential administration Sergey Kirienko, the Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky, surgeon Leonid Roshal, Director Karen Shakhnazarov, the composer Igor Krutoy, singer Alexander Rosenbaum, as well as deputies, cultural figures.
Stanislav Govorukhin died on the morning of June 14 at 83 year of life, he will be buried on June 16 at the Novodevichy cemetery.
Govorukhin was born on March 29, 1936 in Berezniki. He graduated from the geological faculty of Kazan state University, worked as a geologist, then — editor and assistant Director at Kazan TV Studio. Govorukhin later he graduated from the directing Department of VGIK, worked at the Odessa film Studio and “Mosfilm”.
Full-length directorial debut was the film “Vertical”, taken together with Boris Durov. The most famous Govorukhin brought the series “the meeting Place cannot be changed”, the main role in which, as in the “Vertical” performed by Vladimir Vysotsky. Govorukhin became famous as an actor playing in the film by Sergei Solovyov “AssA” thug artist.
