The lead singer of System of a Down Serj Tankian will perform in front of the protesters in Yerevan
The lead singer of System of a Down Serj Tankian will perform on may 7 in front of the protesters in Yerevan. This was stated by the leader of the opposition and candidate for the post of Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.
Pashinyan will be met Serj Tankian in Yerevan airport at 8 PM local time, after which the musician will go to the Republic square where the rally will take place.
The politician suggested that many will want to meet Serj Tankian. “Probably, wishing to meet him will be so much that all the airport would not accommodate. So you can gather and from the airport, and along the road to Yerevan”, — he said.
Thousands protest in Yerevan and other Armenian cities began in mid-April. The participants opposed the appointment of former President Serzh Sargsyan to the post of Prime Minister. In the end, Sargsyan have first appointed, and on April 23 he resigned.
