Medvedev called the Governor’s name, which “speaks volumes”
The most popular name among Russian governors — Orlov and Orlov, while in the whole country among Russians — Ivanov, said Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
During a meeting with senior officials of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, Medvedev, passing the floor to the Governor Vladimir region, Svetlana Orlova, said the popularity of her name in the Governor’s case.
“In our country it is believed that the most popular surname — Ivanov. And among the governors — no, the most popular surname is Orlov and Orlov. We have three people from the governors bears that name. That says a lot,” — said Medvedev.
