WASHINGTON, Feb 5 — RIA Novosti, Tatyana Kalmykova. The US state Department published on Monday data on the execution of the Treaty on measures for the further reduction and limitation of strategic offensive arms (start-3) from 2010.
In particular, common reference information of the US state Department noted that from the time the Treaty enters into force on 5 February 2011, the United States and Russia “have sent and received more than 14,600 notifications relating to the location, displacement and elimination of strategic offensive weapons”, “made 14 exchanges information with a full account of the status and composition of strategic nuclear weapons systems”, “conducted 252 inspections in the field.”
In addition, it was “held 14 exhibitions showcasing the distinctive technical characteristics of new types of strategic offensive arms”.
