Medina Kobzon was expelled from the membership of the expert Council of the Ministry of culture
MOSCOW, 25 Dec — RIA Novosti. The Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky signed a decree on the exclusion of people’s artist, the first Deputy Chairman of the culture Committee of the state Duma Joseph Kobzon from the composition of the expert Council of the Ministry, to the document provided by the press service of the Ministry.
According to the document, from the Board in addition Kobzon was expelled the first Deputy culture Minister Vladimir Aristarkhov. At the same time, the composition was included the artistic Director of the Moscow provincial theater Sergey Bezrukov, head of GITIS Grigory Zaslavsky, Director Vladimir Hotinenko, the head of the State historical Museum Alexei Levykin, the Director of Mosfilm Karen Shakhnazarov, the rector of the Academy of Russian ballet named after Vaganova Nikolai Tsiskaridze, Chairman of the Union of composers, Alexey Rybnikov.
Previously Kobzon said that he had sent a letter to the head of the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation, which informed him about his withdrawal from the composition of the expert Council and the Advisory Board under the Ministry of culture.
According to Kobzon, the expert Council examines the various kinds of encouragement and assigns of the title of artists. He noted that he does not want to accept the subjectivity of the decision of the Executive Board. The Ministry of culture later expressed surprise at the decision of the Director to withdraw from the Advisory Board and the Board office.
Thus Kobzon at the meeting of the culture Committee of the state Duma said that the Ministry of culture does not listen to its requests and observations on restoration of monuments of culture, support for artists and movie. He stressed that out of the expert Council and the Collegium of the Ministry, because he was ashamed in front of their voters. Medina called the accusations unfair and insulting.
