The leader of ISIS is to the U.S. military base in Syria, media reported
MOSCOW, 17 Dec — RIA Novosti. The U.S. military captured the leader of the group “Islamic state” (IG*) Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and took him to a US military base in Syria. It is reported by the Turkish newspaper Yeni Şafak.
The source said that al-Baghdadi was captured in Iraq, then taken to an American base in the town of RAS al-ain in northeast of Syria, and then transported to the police station near the city of al-Hasaka. Together with the leader of the IG* the military has captured seven of the brigade’s commanders, one of whom was a citizen of Iraq.
In mid-June the Russian defense Ministry was checking the information about the possible destruction of al-Baghdadi after impact videoconferencing may 28, near Raqqa. The Pentagon later said that the leader of ISIS* alive.
