Media: the oldest inhabitant of Europe has died in Spain on 117th year of a life
Ana Vela died in a nursing home in Barcelona.
TASS, 16 Dec. A national of Spain Ana Vela, in April of this year, recognized as the oldest person in Europe, died on Friday at the 117th year of life. This was announced on Saturday, Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia.

The woman, born 29 Oct 1901 in Puente Genil (Autonomous community Andalusia), died in a nursing home in Barcelona (Autonomous community Catalonia). Over her lifetime she worked as a seamstress and Director of a grocery store, raised four children.
In April of this year it became known about the death at the age of 117 years of Italian Emma Morano. After that, the Spaniard became the oldest man in Europe.
