In Pompeii they found the remains of a military horse
Archaeologists have found the fossil remains of a harnessed horse in the suburbs of Pompeii. About it Italian newspaper ANSA said Massimo Osanna, the Director of the Archaeological Park of Pompeii.

The remains of the horse harness was found at the Villa owned by high-ranking Roman military might, General. It was a tall horse, with the harness richly decorated with bronze elements. Nearby, archaeologists found the remains of two or three horses. According to Hosanna, the animals have died from choking in the ashes and the hot vapors during the eruption of Vesuvius in 79.
