This is a rare and very beautiful phenomenon.

A normal rainbow occurs when light is refracted in the droplets of moisture in the atmosphere after rain. But rainbow can be formed, and in fog, because fog is also the accumulation of moisture in the air. A rainbow is called misty.

This is a fairly rare phenomenon occurs only under certain conditions. First, should fall light fog, but the sun is shining. Secondly, droplets of moisture in the atmosphere must be very small — less than 25 micrometers. Here then occurs a wide white shiny arc.

Misty rainbow is usually not colored. Color fade due to light diffraction, a physical phenomenon that is enhanced when light rays pass through very small droplets. But still sometimes the inner side of the white rainbow can be a little painted purple, and orange.
