Artist from India, paints incredible portraits on the leaves of ficus

46-year-old Sandesh Rangnekar to be a famous artist in India and abroad. But he became famous because of his amazing paintings that paints with watercolors on a dried aspidistra leaves.

Rangnekar draws on unusual leaves. His canvas — the leaves are sacred to the Hindus Pipal tree or Bodhi Tree (“Ficus religiosa”). The artist first allow them to dry for 35-40 days and then starts to work. On average, one picture, he spends a few days during which draws three to four hours.
