Scientists have found another seal with the blackhead in the nose
The experts of the program to protect endangered Hawaiian monk seals found another young seal with the blackhead in the nose — this is the third or fourth time in the last couple of years. Eel gently got, but he was killed, but the seal was not injured, told scientists in a blog on the website of the National oceanic and atmospheric administration (NOAA).

Scientists observe the Hawaiian seal monk (Monachus schauinslandi), threatened extinction, the last 40 years, but animals with acne nose began to meet only in recent years. Researchers don’t know yet, is it a coincidence or some feature of the behavior of young seals:
Hawaiian monk seals looking for food, poking the muzzle in coral reefs, under rocks or in the sand — so they are looking for victims who like to hide, for example, acne. Perhaps, acne, cornered, trying to defend themselves or to escape. Or the seal swallowed the eel, and then threw up so that he was “out,” not there. We may never know the truth.Newsare Very vulnerable
The researchers note that all seals seen with acne in the nose gently caught and get rid of acne that have not survived. Seals are also, apparently, does not suffer from these episodes.
Gizmodo, carefully looked at the program page on Facebook, found that in 2016, the scientists extracted from the nose of a seal eel with a length of about 60 cm protruding only a few inches. The animal was not hurt, photos of the incident, unfortunately, was not published.
