The mayoralty of Barnaul has started the procedure of transfer of the building of the planetarium in the property of the Russian Orthodox Church. About it reports “News Altai”.

Clarifies that a request to return the building of the Barnaul diocese filed in 2012. In March 2019 the object will be transferred to the ROC. The planetarium needs to leave the building until the end of December, with a new scientific institution yet.

Earlier in the Russian Orthodox Church has planned a large-scale reconstruction of the city of Sergiev Posad in Moscow region. The plan of construction works involves the construction of the Synodal institutions in the place of the Soviet city administration building and the demolition of other buildings of the Soviet era.
