The government of the Russian Federation proposed to index the salaries of teachers and doctors
The Russian government has proposed to index the wages of certain categories of state employees, including teachers and doctors, 6% in 2019.
This is stated in materials provided with the draft Federal budget for the 2019-2021 years.
“Given the growth rate of nominal gross wages to the previous year in 2019, [salary increase provided] 6%, in 2020 — by 5.4%, in 2021 6.6%”, — quotes TASS on Saturday, September 29.
In the may decrees of the President of Russia from 2012 identified target categories of public sector employees whose salaries by 2018 had to be increased to 100% or 200% of average labor income in the region. We are talking about school teachers, University professors, scientific workers, nurses, doctors, and cultural workers and social workers.
Earlier on September 19, the government of Russia proposed to raise the minimum wage (SMIC) from 1 January 2019 to 11 280 rubles.
