Zhores Alferov mistakenly “voted” for pension reform for water bottles
The voice of the Deputy from the Communist party and Nobel prize winner Zhores Alferov was mistakenly cast in support of the bill on raising the retirement age. The state Duma on Wednesday in the second reading approved the document.

The error said the Communist Sergey Kazankov. “I put a bottle of water and hit the button to his companion away, so for the record: he didn’t vote. I unsuccessfully put a bottle of water,” explained Kazankov. On it the speaker of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin said: “We are saying that every vote for himself. And so stretches out the hand to others ‘button, and then there is a conflict”.
This Volodin was glad that the voting is open. “If it were secret you would vote secretly for Mr Alferov, and then sort out who did it. We have saved from the split in fraction”, — jokingly said he.
On Wednesday the state Duma in the second reading approved the pension reform. It provides for raising the retirement age for women from 55 to 60 years for men from 60 to 65. Voted 326 deputies, against — 59, one abstained. During the meeting, the Deputy of the Communist Nikolai Kolomeitsev proposed to vote for the bill in secret, however, this proposal was rejected.
