HSE: the average salary of scientific personnel was more than 86 thousand rubles
MOSCOW, September 13. /TASS/. The average salary of scientific workers of Russia in the first six months of 2018 has increased compared to the same period last year by 1.7% and amounted to 86,1 thousand rubles. It is reported by the Institute for statistical studies and Economics of knowledge, HSE.

“In the first half of 2018, the average monthly salary of researchers in research institutions, in respect of which the measures to raise the average level of wages has reached 86,1 thousand rubles, an increase compared to the same period of the previous year by 1.7 times,” — said in the study.
It is noted that the higher wages were primarily scientific employees whose salaries are increased by 2.1 times and reached 93.7 thousand rubles.
At the same time, their number decreased by 10.6%.
To 107,3 thousand rubles increased the salaries of Deputy heads of research organizations, heads of structural subdivisions and their deputies. During the same time period, their number decreased by 26.4%.
“There is a narrowing of the gap in pay of managers and researchers: if in the first half of 2017, the average monthly wage of the main, leading and senior researchers was 28.6% from the average monthly salaries of heads of scientific organizations, in January-June 2018 already is 71.2%,” the researchers considered the HSE.
