Shoigu presented the project of the main temple of the Russian Armed forces

In Moscow Park “Patriot” will build the main temple of the Russian Armed forces, announced Russian defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on a conference call. The construction of the temple already received the blessing of Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill, said Deputy defense Minister Colonel-General Andrey Kartapolov. The temple erected for the 75th anniversary of Victory in the great Patriotic war.

The temple will be a spiritual, educational and educational center for soldiers, Orthodox priests and Russians. It will place the exposition on the history of the formation of the Russian state and the armed forces.
On the website of the Ministry of defense saidthat the temple will be built in a monumental Russian-Byzantine style. The area will be 1976 square meters, it is the time able to accommodate 5990. In the temple there will be classes for working with the military, the clergy, teaching centre, the lecture hall, meeting room and ancillary facilities.

The temple will have five thrones, to be dedicated to Christ’s Resurrection, the remaining four to the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky, the patron Saint of the Land forces; the Holy prophet of God Elijah, the patron of the aerospace defence forces and airborne forces; the Holy Apostle Andrew, the patron Saint of the Navy and St. Varvara, the patroness of the strategic Missile forces.
“I invite all colleagues to take an active and proactive part in this. Of course, everything should be completely voluntary. No one is forcing you and oblige.
