SBU struggling with “anti-Ukrainian activities” in social networks

KYIV, Aug 3 — RIA Novosti. Employees of the security Service of Ukraine in July thwarted the work of 11 administrators of groups in social networks, which was posted on the Internet material with calls to change the borders of the country, said on Friday the press-service of the Ministry.

According to authorities, 11 people in five regions of Ukraine were the administrators of the anti-Ukrainian community in “Vkontakte” and “Odnoklassniki”.

“Posted social media content appeals to change of borders of the territory of Ukraine and with support of terrorist organizations “, L/DNI.” The anti-Ukrainian activities the criminals received reward”, — stated in the message.

As noted, during the searches at the place of residence of these administrators, police found computer equipment and mobile device evidence, “host of anti-Ukrainian materials.”

Law enforcers qualified the actions of administrators under article “actions aimed at violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or the seizure of state power”, “encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine” and “creation of terrorist group or terrorist organization” of the Criminal code of Ukraine. Sanctions of articles provide till 10, to 3 and up to 15 years in prison, respectively.
