The basis for the decision were the actions that discredit the “United Russia”, said the press service of the party.

MOSCOW, July 24. /TASS/. Businessman Umar Dzhabrailov were excluded legally from the ranks of “United Russia” in 2017 in connection with the entry against it of a judgment of conviction. This was stated by TASS on Tuesday, the press service of United Russia, commenting on media reports about the exception Dzhabrailov from the party.

“December 5, 2017 by the decision of the meeting of the local political Council of local branch of party “United Russia” Arbat district of the Central administrative district of Moscow, Dzhabrailov Umar Aliev was expelled from the party legally and legitimately in accordance with the clause of the Charter party for the actions discrediting the party and damaging its political interests,” — said the press service.

The evening of 29 August 2017, ex-Senator Dzhabrailov, being intoxicated, started shooting at the Four Seasons hotel. He was taken to the police Department and later released on his own recognizance. He was charged with committing a crime under part 1 of article 213 of the criminal code (“Hooliganism committed with weapons or objects used as weapons. In November of the same year the Tver court of Moscow sentenced Dzhabrailov to the penalty of 500 thousand rubles.

Immediately after the criminal case Dzhabrailov’s membership in “United Russia” was suspended.

This was done in accordance with the party Charter, according to which the criminal case against United Russia shall result in suspension of membership in the party, and the entry into force of a guilty verdict — denial of membership card.

Earlier some mass media with reference to the lawyer Dzhabrailov has information about his exclusion from the ranks of “United Russia”, and this action was characterized by a representative ex-Senator as illegal.
