The state Duma Committee supported the change to pension legislation
MOSCOW, 17 Jul — RIA Novosti. The state Duma Committee on health at the meeting on Tuesday supported the government bill on changes in pension legislation.
The Committee, in its conclusion, noted that this issue requires a systemic approach and integrated measures aimed at protecting the health of the population, the extension of working period of life of older people and consistently improve the level of their financial security. In addition, the Committee pointed to the need to increase the availability of social and health services and the development of social service system for citizens over the age of 80 years.
In addition, the Committee stressed the need to preserve the institution of early pensions, including for healthcare workers and for activities in special working conditions.
“We consider it necessary on the basis of continuous monitoring of the current situation to improve the existing list of productions, works, professions, positions and indicators entitling to a pension on preferential terms,” — said in the conclusion of the Committee.
“The State Duma Committee on health supports the draft Federal law… taking into account the comments made”, — the document says.
In addition, on Tuesday, the bill will also address the relevant Committee on labour and social policy and the Committee co-contractor for regional policy and problems of North and Far East. After the presentation of the findings in the bill state Duma will consider in the first reading.
