IRKUTSK, July 13 — RIA Novosti. Tourists from Kemerovo broke on the shore of lake Baikal from the rocky Cape and held on the tree for 17 hours waiting for rescue, reports a press-service GUMCHS of the Irkutsk region.

According to the press service, 13 July early morning in the Baikal search and rescue team received a report from a 48-year-old tourist from Kemerovo. He single-handedly has made the transition from Listvyanka to Bolshie Koty. On the rocky shore of lake Baikal near Cape Skriper man fell from a great height and survived, accidentally caught in growing on the side of the tree.

“On it he spent about 17 hours trying to contact the emergency services. Due to the lack of a stable connection to do this he was only in the morning. Into place immediately I left four rescuer”, — stated in the message.

It is noted that after the tourist was removed from the tree using climbing equipment, he could not move independently, because they were in a state of shock.

The casualty boat was taken to the village of Bolshie Koty, where he was given medical assistance. Search and rescue operation took about six hours.
